About Autoport

Since the company was founded over 50 years ago, the handling of motor vehicles has been one of our main business areas. With the establishment of Autoport Emden GmbH in 1987, of which we are co-shareholders alongside Volkswagen Konzernlogistik GmbH & Co.KG and Emder Verkehrs-und Automotive Gesellschaft, this handling was incorporated into Autoport Emden GmbH.

Over the years, Autoport has developed into the third largest automobile transshipment port in Europe. To date, more than 20 million vehicles have been loaded and unloaded in Emden's outer harbor . The annual transshipment volume of Autoport Emden GmbH is currently around 900,000 vehicles. In order to be able to achieve this, we are bringing around 100,000 square meters of high-quality asphalt parking areas in the immediate vicinity of the transshipment facilities into the overall concept, in addition to highly qualified personnel. Emden is now one of the most important seaports in Germany for the import and export of new vehicles by sea.

In addition to loading automobiles, we also prepare high and heavy cargo for RoRo shipping from Emden at our terminal. In addition to handling and temporary storage of used passenger vehicles (POV), our team has been reliably and competently handling the so-called third-party business with construction machinery, harvesting machines, buses, tractors, cranes and other heavy machinery for over 30 years. For non-rolling cargo, we have heavy-duty trailers with a load capacity of up to 80 tonnes available on request.
